YMSecretary (“we,” “us”) is a private tool used by a single Young Men’s youth organization within a local congregation to coordinate priesthood assignments and youth activities. This policy explains what information we collect and how we use it.

Information we collect

Your name and email address, from your sign-in provider.
Your mobile phone number, if you choose to provide it.
Your role, quorum, contact preferences, and (for parents) links to your children’s accounts.
Records of assignments, activities, attendance, and the notifications we send you.

How we use your information

We use your information solely to operate the app: to schedule and coordinate assignments and activities, and to send you the notifications and reminders you opt into.

SMS / text messaging

If you provide your mobile number and consent to text messages, we send you one-time verification codes and notifications about your assignments and youth activities. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out at any time, or HELP for help.

We do not sell or share your mobile phone number or SMS opt-in information with any third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes. Text-message consent is never shared with third parties.

Service providers

We use trusted vendors strictly to deliver the service: WorkOS (sign-in), Twilio (text messages and phone verification), Resend (email), and our hosting and database providers. These providers process your data only to perform their function for us.

Data retention & your choices

You can update your contact preferences, or opt out of text messages, at any time in the app or by replying STOP. Contact us to request removal of your account and associated data.
